The sculptures in this recent series of work are constructed around large blocks of larch which could be seen as plinths but are also part of the sculpture. Their weight allows the other elements in steel, wood, concrete and Jesmonite the freedom to resist gravity and define the space between the material parts as a physical entity within the sculpture.
