Gillian continues making sculpture titled ‘Not a …’ as she is interested in exploring how abstract sculpture can be a way of re-evaluating what we believe we see. Her sculpture takes real-life physical and material forms, actions and configurations and reappropriates them out of context to reveal surprising reimaginings of interactions between their physicalities and space.
